About the Race: |
Two days of
racing in North Louisiana featuring a road race in hilly Rocky Mount, a three mile individual time trial along the Shreveport Riverfront, and a criterium at the Century Tel Center in Bossier City with a stage race format.

All USCF
rules apply. All riders
must wear jerseys/shirts with sleeves. Helmets meeting USCF
requirements must be worn by all riders whenever they’re on the bike.
Disposal of water bottles and trash is allowed ONLY at the feed zones. Automatic disqualification if you dump your trash along the race
course!

Registration is going on now at www.bikereg.com.
Online registration closes April 10,
2008 at 11:59PM.
All racers must have an USCF annual license or purchase USCF one day license ($10 per day). There will be a $5 late fee after March 22, 2007. A $5 unattached
rider fee will also be assessed.
Registration and Packet Pick-Up will also be available Friday night from
6 PM to 9 PM at Moe’s Southwest Grill,located at 2300 Airline, Suite 600 in Bossier City, LA. Race day registration and packet pick-up on Saturday opens at 6 AM and will close 20 min before each race start.

Saturday:
The road race course begins and ends in Rocky Mount, a small village north
of Bossier City, Louisiana. This is the same course used on
Sunday of the 2005 & 2006 Rocky Mount Omniums. Parking is located at the intersection of LA 160 & LA 157.
The time trial begins at Stoner Boat Launch near Downtown Shreveport.

Course Description: |
Saturday - Road Race: The
race course begins and ends in Rocky Mount, a small village north of
Bossier City, Louisiana. After 1 mile, the racers join a 13 mile loop
and repeat. There are 4 right turns on the loop. After the required
number of laps, the race ends in Rocky Mount. This is the same course
used on Sunday of the 2005 & 2006 Omniums. The course has rolling hills and a
tough finishing hill with great to good road surfaces.
Saturday
- Time Trial: This flat, 3 mile, individual time trial will take place on Clyde Fant Parkway, on the Shreveport Riverfront. Riders will start at the Stoner Boat Launch and head north on an out-and-back course finishing on the Stoner overpass.

Sunday
- Criterium: The crit
course will be held at CenturyTel Center in Bossier City, just off the Arthur Teague Parkway. The
1.3 mile course is flat with a small rise mid way through the course.
There are 6 left turns and excellent road surfaces.

STAGE PLACINGS: The top finishers in the Road and Criterium stages will be awarded bonuses as follows for First, Second, and Third place finishes (all classes).

SPOT: There will be a single HOT SPOT for each class in the Road Race and in the Criterium. Road Race Hot Spots will be ½ into the 1st lap (all classes). Criterium Hot Spot will be at the approximate mid-point of each race. Bonuses will be awarded for First and Second Places at the Hot Spots as below (all classes):
